WARNING: This procedure will REMOVE the fuel cut engine protection
from your car. Please read the other sections in this document particularly
the "Cautionary note" disclaimer at the beginning of these instructions
aswell as the section on "How do I know if I have hit the factory
boost limit ?" for advice on the effects of the factory boost limit.
Preparation
Firstly
ensure the ECU fuel cut is active by turning the adjuster fully towards
the '+' (plus).
Drive carefully
to a suitable straight road or dual carriageway where the car can be accelerated
with no danger to you or other road users.
Ensure the
engine is at normal operating temperature.
Check For Fuel Cut
Accelerate
the car hard in 2nd or 3rd gear or with the your foot on the brake in
2nd gear to generate maximum boost.
If fuel
cut is reached proceed to Resetting The ECU
If fuel
cut is prevented - YIPEE, HAVE FUN AND BE CAREFUL.
Adjusting The FCD
Turn the
adjuster a small amount towards the '-' (minus) and proceed to Check
For Fuel Cut
Resetting The ECU
Pull the
car over to the side of the road.
Switch off
the engine.
Remove the
15 amp EFI fuse from the fuse box under the bonnet near the battery.
Wait at
least 30 seconds.
Refit the
15 amp EFI fuse in the fuse box.
Restart
the engine.
If fuel
cut is being removed - Proceed to Adjusting The FCD
If fuel
cut is being reinstated - YOU HAVE IT BACK NOW.
Reinstate Fuel
Cut (if It has been disabled)
Turn the
adjuster a small amount towards the '+' (plus) and proceed to Check
For Fuel Cut. To be sure fuel cut is reinstated, turn the adjuster
fully towards the '+' (plus). To activate fuel cut at a later date, simply
follow these instructions again from the Beginning
