ST185 CS Service History

This page contains the history of my car including services, repairs carried out and oil changes etc. Also any major expenses have been listed but not costed, mainly because I don't like to think of the running costs. I have also decided to add the meets I have attended into the table.

If you need a great workshop manual I can highly recommend the following one.

27/04/2002	Changed oil and filter (Valvoline Synpower, 5w-50). The reason for doing this so soon after the previous oil change was to ensure the oil was in tip top condition for the CCC Castle Combe meet.
20/04/2002	Fitted some new PIAA super white bulbs with a rating of 135/115w. Check out my modifications page for pictures.
07/04/2002	Fitted 4 platinum spark plugs. Also fitted red powder coated rocker cover. Check out my modifications page for pictures.
03/04/2002	Made and fitted a cold air intake. Check out my modifications page for details.
01/04/2002	Lagged the chargecooler. Check out my modifications page for details.
29/03/2002	Fitted a de-cat pipe and while the engine was in bits I fitted a new power steering belt and also an alternator / air-con belt. Check out my modifications page for details.
23/03/2002	Fitted new front and rear brake pads and freed all calipers.
16/03/2002	Changed oil and filter (Valvoline Synpower, 5w-50).
	Fitted 17 inch Stilauto ESA rims with Avon ZZ1 215/40/17 tyres.

13/02/2002	Fitted the latest model of my relief valve with some surprising results.
12/01/2002	Seventh MOT.
05/01/2002	Changed oil and filter (Valvoline Synpower, 5w-50).
	Changed insurance to elephant. They are internet based and their system allows all mods to be declared and the price premium calculated so you can see how much each mod costs.
	Fitted air/fuel meter and my very own home made fuel cut defender.
16/11/2001	Fitted some rear speakers into the grilles either side of the parcel shelf. These were aquired from TCB and fitted straight into my car which already had the wiring in place.
29/09/2001	Changed oil and filter (Valvoline Synpower, 5w-50).
01/09/2001	Took K1ANO to the York GT4 challenge meet. Check out my York page.
01/09/2001	Took K1ANO to the Powerstation meet and ran my car on their dyno. Check out my Powerstation page.
	Replaced rear disks and pads.
05/05/2001	Took K1ANO to the Castle Combe meet. Check out my Castle Combe page.
01/05/2001	Put synthetic oil in the gear box and transfer box. Also fitted new distributor cap and rotor arm. Changed oil and filter (Mobil 1, 15w-50).
18/04/2001	Fitted KYB front inserts and KYB rear struts. Freed and greased all calipers. Replaced front and rear pads.
11/04/2001	Took K1ANO to the Santa Pod meet but unfortunately didn't get a run due to bad weather. Check out my Santa Pod page.
04/04/2001	Changed oil and filter (Castrol RS, 0w-40). Fitted a Bailey DV26 dump valve, intercooler heat shield and relief valve boost controller. Check out my modifications page for details.
23/02/2001	2 rear tyres from Bestreads in Chester.
27/01/2001	Took K1ANO to the Blackpool meet - goodness it was cold, but I had some fun. Check out my Blackpool page.
26/01/2001	Wheel alignment done by ATS North Western Ltd in Chester.

20/12/2000	Another bucketfull of money to Privilage for insurance.
02/12/2000	Sixth MOT.
	Fitted a bleed valve boost controller.
	Fitted handbrake cable, shoes and cold start sensor. Painted rear calipers red.
15/09/2000	Bought N/S handbrake cable, rear handbrake shoes and cold start sensor from TCB PerformanceParts Ltd.
16/03/2000	A Service at Lindop Brothers in Chester - they were terrible.
07/05/2000	4 new tyres.
12/02/2000	Mongoose stainless steel exhaust fitted by Halfords in Chester.
20/12/1999	Another year has gone by and more money to Privilage for insurance.
09/07/1999	Fifth MOT.
08/06/1999	Purchased Toyota repair manuals TRM155E, TRM164E & TRM266E (an absolute must).
04/06/1999	Puncture repair at ATS North Western Ltd in Chester.
14/05/1999	Bought power steering rack from Autosave Recycled Autoparts to recondition.
23/12/1998	C Service at Dixon Motor Holdings Ltd in Hull.
20/12/1998	More money to Privilage for insurance.

26/05/1998	New front driveshaft boots fitted by Dixon Motor Holdings Ltd in Hull.

20/12/1997	More money to Privilage for insurance.

03/04/1998	Front O/S wheel bearing replaced under warranty by Dixon Motor Holdings Ltd in Hull.
03/04/1997	Cam belt fitted by Dixon Motor Holdings Ltd in Hull.
27/02/1997	Tayside Numbers Ltd offered to buy the registration number - I refused.
26/01/1997	Dispute over service issues - resolved amicably.

22/03/1996	IMC used car warranty until 21/03/1998.
20/03/1996	Strong letter to Toyota Customer Services with regards to expensive warranty work. They agreed to provide me with a discounted unconditional extended warranty.
15/03/1996	Full inspection by Dixon Motor Holdings Ltd in Hull revealed clutch and front disks require replacement.
25/02/1996	Oil and filter change at Halfords in Hull (Castrol RS Oil).
20/12/1995	Bought car from Grosvenor Garage Guildford Ltd in Surrey. I had to part with my fantastic little Mazda 323 4x4 16v Turbo.
01/12/1995	RAC inspection - all clear.
11/08/1995	First MOT.
	Cylinder head gasket was replaced at 15000 miles.
17/08/1992	K1ANO was first registered.
